First, you need to understand your current market value. I do this by buying live market data... the same kind of premium data companies use to set your salary.
Second, you need to have a clear vision of where you want to go. Picture yourself sitting in that leather chair in your high rise, corner office.
Too often I see women "lean in" and advocate for themselves, but let's face it, if you don't know what you're asking for, what's the point of leaning in?
Third, you must get clear on industry dynamics and how to increase your perceived market value.
I've found that it doesn't come down to your resume or LinkedIn profile, but rather your ability to influence how the entire market sees you. Think hostage negotiation tactics, blended with marketing and the art of persuasion.
Once you understand how to increase your perceived market value, you need to understand how to advocate for it.
Because negotiating for what you want hinges as much on the negotiation strategy you devise, as it does on your non-verbal cues and your ability to READ the situation.
After having helped thousands of women all over the world, this is what I know for sure:
Other than the market pricing tools, I'm certain you already have everything it takes to advocate for yourself.
So with the steps I've outlined above, I encourage you to go ahead figure this out on your own, or look at some of the other tools on my website.
But if you find you're in need of a little extra help, or you need results ASAP, then I invite you to set up a coaching call with me.
